FILM REVIEW: TERRIFIER
The movie Terrifier is an American movie released in October 2016 with a budget of 100.000 USD. It was directed by American Damian Leone while produced by Phil Falcone, Damian Leone and George Steuber.
The 86 minute films main character is a serial killer clown who has a tendency to kill people in an extremely vigorous manner. The plot of the film consists of two young women who get followed by the clown which ultimately ends in the death of one of the girls and the kidnapping of the other.
My initial thought of the film was how low the quality of the film was but then I took into consideration the budget of the film I could enjoy it more. despite the low quality of the filming and SFX the camera work is not too bad.
I personally thought the plot of the movie was rather boring despite the almost constant sense of danger. The clown hunts down these two girls over the space of a night and proceeds to saw one of them in half and just about misses killing the other one.
All in all, I would say that the plot of the movie is quite poor and Damian Leone clearly felt the need to try and compensate for the lack of story with violence.
A positive I found about the overall production is the costumes. I thought they looked very high end and suited all the characters extremely well. my personal favourite was the clown's costume due to the fact that despite it was a clown it still gave a very serious vibe due to the lack of colours on the costume.
To conclude the review, I would personally rate the movie 4/10 as I struggled to find positives about the film except for the costumes of the characters.
